Fairbridge Park becomes Fairbridge: a new name and brand for an impact VC
A New York venture fund backing founders who solve health, wealth and planet problems for billions. We gave it a shorter name, a four-word mission and a ribbon.
Rebranding a venture fund that backs founders solving health, wealth and planet problems for billions.

Fairbridge Park was a New York pre-seed venture fund investing in what it calls the resilience economy: startups solving core human needs in health, wealth and the planet. Buena sharpened the story, shortened the name to Fairbridge and built a new identity, voice and website around a woven ribbon that bridges technology and earth.

Fairbridge Park was a New York pre-seed fund investing in what it calls the resilience economy: startups solving core human needs in health, wealth and the planet. Its thesis is simple. The biggest problems of our time belong to the underserved billions, and the startups that solve them get the biggest rewards.
It is classical venture, writing $500K initial checks at pre-seed and seed. But impact investing often reads as charity, venture often reads as profit over people, and Fairbridge Park sat between the two.
Its decks were dense and its brand didn't make the case. We started with the story: what the fund backs, who it backs, and how it differs from both camps.

We set Fairbridge against both camps. Traditional VC puts profits ahead of impact. Impact VC accepts weaker returns for intangible ones. Fairbridge treats solving the biggest core human problems as a solid investment.
The mission came down to four words: We unlock the big. The longer version says Fairbridge backs the biggest doers to unlock the biggest solutions for the health, wealth and planet problems of the underserved billions.
The voice took its cue from the founders it backs: garage, gritty, underestimated. It's the raw talent you weren't expecting, fueled by getting stuff done rather than by praise. Think of the kid who made a Grammy-winning album in a dorm room.
Profits come before impact. Financial return drives every decision.
Impact comes before profits. Returns suffer for intangible good.
Profits equal impact. Solving core human problems is a solid investment.

We dropped Park from the name and built the mark around a ribbon of colored lines. It weaves, loops and bridges, the way the fund connects technology and the earth.
The ribbon works as a logomark, a pattern system and a wordmark device. It loops through the first letters of words like unlock, united and unstoppable, so the brand's own vocabulary carries the mark.
The palette pairs two ideas from the guide, earth tones and bridging technology: forest green, red, stone and cream. Codec Pro with IBM Plex Mono, and founder-first photography of everyday people at work, complete the system.

The site design opened on We power billion-person ideas, with the ribbon looping across a warm paper background. Below it, the ribbon runs down the page and ties the thesis, portfolio and team together.
Every section speaks in the new voice: direct, founder-first and confident about returns. The thesis says it outright. This isn't about philanthropy or goodwill; it's impact investing without concessions.
Fairbridge came out of the work with a shorter name, a four-word mission, a ribbon identity and a full brand guide, finished in April 2024. The guide covers logo, color, type, assets, photography and core language, from the mission to how Fairbridge describes the founders it backs.

We unlock the big.
