Santiago Narváez Onriza, a Lápiz de Acero nominee, joins Buena from Bogotá
Buena went looking for a young designer at Colombia’s Universidad Nacional and found Santiago, whose interactive magazine was nominated at the 2025 Lápiz de Acero.
Francisco “Fran” Sanchez started building the Buena Design System in Framer in December. Now the web designer and developer joins the team.

Some people join a team on their first day. Francisco “Fran” Sanchez joined after three months of building its foundations. He started working with Buena in December on the Buena Design System, and this month he joins the team as its web designer and developer.
Fran, by the numbers
On December 1, 2025, Buena kicked off the Buena Design System in Framer with Fran. He built the elements, widgets and layouts first, then dark mode and ready-made layouts for content.
A month later, at its January retreat, the studio set out to build systems that actually scale. Fran had already started on one.
That library is why Buena could go on to promise a website in weeks, not quarters. The website packages it opened in April launch in three weeks because the hard parts are already built, and the team spends its time on the brand and the story instead of rebuilding a button.
Fran designs and builds sites, from the first layout to the last line of code. His profile is on his team page.
Fran designs and builds sites in Framer. When a design needs more than the tools give, he writes the code components himself. And he adapts the copy so every page reads right.
His workflow passes from ChatGPT and Claude to Figma to Framer. His work runs across the studio’s web projects, including the Buena website template, the one that new Buena websites start from. One person can take a page from the first layout to the last line of code, without handing it over along the way.

The web designer behind the design system comes on board.
When Buena moved its tasks and hours onto Gitterdone, Fran logged his work so carefully that it became the example for everyone else.
