Santiago Narváez Onriza, a Lápiz de Acero nominee, joins Buena from Bogotá
Buena went looking for a young designer at Colombia’s Universidad Nacional and found Santiago, whose interactive magazine was nominated at the 2025 Lápiz de Acero.
Developer Brayan Marcano joins Buena to lead development across web and mobile, and starts on the studio’s first app of its own.

Buena has a lead developer. Brayan Marcano joins the studio this week to lead development, at the moment a campaign studio starts building software of its own. His first call with the team was not about a campaign. It was about a component system.
Brayan, by the numbers
Brayan’s first call with Buena, at the end of January, was about a component system in Storybook and Chromatic: the plumbing that lets designers and developers share the same building blocks. It is not glamorous work. It is the work that decides whether a designer’s button and a developer’s button are the same button.
That set the tone. Brayan works across web and mobile, building apps with Flutter and with the Claude, Vercel and Supabase stack, and wiring up the integrations and automations behind them.
He builds the apps, automations and internal tools that keep Buena running. His profile is on his team page.
Buena made its name with big ideas and no media budget. At its January retreat, the studio set out to build systems that actually scale. More of what good causes need now is software, and the practical answer was to hire people who can build it.
I run a Cannes-winning ad agency with a swat team focused on one goal: making good causes famous.
Brayan’s first big build was close to home: a task and time app for Buena’s own team. It became Gitterdone, the project manager that turns the work week into a game you can win. On May 18, 2026 the whole team moved its tasks and hours onto it, and on September 14 it opened its beta to teams outside Buena.

The studio’s first developer started by building the app the whole team opens every morning.
He also helped build Buena Launch, which hosts the studio’s in-house apps on buena.org, and he leads the developers who build Buena’s family of products alongside designers like Francisco Sanchez, Santiago and Bianca Oliveira.

A developer, a UX/UI director and a web designer join Buena in three months, as a studio of three becomes a team of ten that builds its own products.

Product designer Bianca Oliveira joins Buena from São Paulo, with four products at Namu behind her. She designs in Figma and builds with Claude Code.
