On April 13-14, the Human Rights Foundation (HRF) will host COVIDCon, a virtual conference focused on how tyranny sparked and is exploiting the coronavirus pandemic to crack down on civil liberties. Over 6,000 people attended, far beyond what the Human Rights Foundation had expected.
Buena helped concept the event, concept the visuals, create the design, film, and website.
Event speakers included Ai Weiwei, Chinese dissident artist, Gary Kasparov, Russian democracy advocate and chess world champion, Anne Applebaum, American Pulitzer Prize-winning author, historian, and journalist.
